Downtown Farmville’s 5th High Bridge Half Marathon & 5K

Start Training Now for Farmville’s High Bridge Half Marathon & 5K

The 2017 High Bridge Half Marathon & 5k isn’t until Saturday, September 9. So this is the perfect time to start training, whether your goal is to achieve a personal best, or just make it to the finish line.

HB-1-25The race will take place on Farmville’s historic High Bridge, one of the largest recreational bridges of its kind in the United States. It will be an out-and-back course beginning in Downtown Farmville at High Bridge State Park Plaza. The rail-to-trail pathway has a surface of finely crushed, well-packed limestone.

Participants will enjoy on-course support with spirit groups, water stations and Port-O-Potties. Friends and family are welcome and encouraged to provide support and encouragement. Finisher medals will be presented to all Half Marathon finishers who complete the race during the designated 4-hour time period. Register to run HERE!

Times (Timing ceases at four 4 hours)

Half Marathon starts at 7:30 a.m.
5K starts at 8 a.m.

Registration:
Early online registration: April 1, 2017- August 15, 2017. Fees: Half Marathon $60 per runner; 5K $25 per runner.

Late online registration is available August 16 to race day, September 9, 2017: Half Marathon $75 per runner; 5K $30 per runner. Event T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after August 15, 2017.

HB-1-26Packet Pickup:
On-site registration is available during packet pickup hours: Friday, September 08, noon-8 p.m.; Saturday, September 9, 6:30 a.m.-7 a.m. (Half Marathon) or 7:30 a.m. (5K). Event T-shirts are not guaranteed for on-site registrations. Cash, check and credit card accepted (ID required).

Photo ID is required for packet pickup. Packet pickup is available for other participants with a copy of that persons photo ID.

Refund/Transfer Policy:
Registration fees are non-refundable. Fees/bibs are non-transferable to another race or runner/walker. No exceptions.

Race Day Parking & Maps
Parking is free in Town of Farmville municipal lots for those with parking passes. Parking passes and maps will be transmitted electronically by 11:59 p.m., Tuesday, September 5.

Awards Ceremony:
Finisher medals will be presented to all Half Marathon & 5k runners who complete the race during the timing period. Cash awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers for the Half Marathon. Awards will be presented to the top three overall finishers and to the top three age level finishers for each race with half-marathon overall Master (40+), Grand Master (50+) and Senior Grand Master (60+) awards.

Ceremony times and itineraries will be included in runners’ Electronic Packets.
