The Friends of Twin Lakes State Park is hosting its third annual ‘shellebration’ of World Turtle Day® with the following activities: turtle-themed games and face painting, a ‘shellfie’ station (with wearable turtle shells!), a turtle-themed craft, and visits from turtle experts with live turtles, as well as the beloved local ‘shellebrity‘ Ranger Myrtle the turtle.
The ‘shellebration‘ is free to attend, but the regular $7 parking fee does apply. Turtle-themed merchandise will be available for purchase from the Friends of Twin Lakes State Park, an all-volunteer non-profit group that works to support Twin Lakes State Park through fundraising and volunteerism.
Parks are for everyone. To ensure an enjoyable time, please alert park staff to any necessary special accommodations you or your group may need.
