The race follows an out-and-back course. Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and top three male and female finishers in each age category. The top overall male and female finishers will each receive a free weekend cabin stay in a Virginia State Park. Categories are: Men and Women 10 and under, 11-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Participation is capped at 200 runners.
Registration by April 30 is $25. From May 1 through May 31, the fee is $35. Registration on the day of the race will be $40. Pre-race packet pickup will be at the Virginia’s Heartland Regional Visitor Center on Friday, May 31 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., located at 121 E. Third Street, Farmville, VA 23901. Timing and scoring is provided by Riverside Runners of Lynchburg, VA. Race proceeds benefit the non-profit support organization Friends of High Bridge Trail State Park. This organization provides funding for special projects to improve our park and volunteer support.
