Lights at the Lake

This year, Bear Creek Lake State Park will be hosting the park’s 9th annual drive-through light show. The route will lead visitors from the park entrance, down to the lake and back through Chestnut and Black Oak campgrounds. The entire route will be decorated, with many new displays this year. All proceeds from the event benefit the Cumberland Christmas Mother.

Organized by the Friend of Bear Creek Lake State Park, and set up with the help of many volunteers, the Lights at the Lake event is more than a community happening; it’s become a regional adventure to enjoy while brightening the hearts of so many who too often go without. Admission to the event is the donation of a new, unwrapped toy, or a monetary donation to the Cumberland Christmas Mother.

Additional activities include a free “make your own ornament station, light fare and seasonal merchandise available for purchase, a s’mores roasting campfire, take-away grilled chicken dinner on Sunday 12/11 only, and more! Parking for these activities will be available at the beach area which marks the midpoint of the tour.
