Celebrate Kids to Parks Day at Sailor’s Creek with a hands-on Junior Historian Scavenger Hunt! Young visitors can explore the Visitor Center, search for real Civil War objects, and use their detective skills to uncover stories hidden in the exhibits. Two age-appropriate hunts are available: one for ages 5–9 with checklists, pictures, and drawing, and a second for ages 10–15 that encourages deeper thinking about the lives of soldiers and the meaning of the artifacts they encounter.

Participants who complete the scavenger hunt can return to the front desk to earn a Junior Ranger badge. This program is self-guided, fun for families, and perfect for curious kids who love history, discovery, and adventure. This program will be offered rain or shine.
