“Equipped for Battle” is an opportunity to learn about the typical items soldiers from the American Civil War would have worn and carried with them into battle. With tangible items on display including modern reproduction uniforms, hats and weapons visitors will be able to handle, try on and see up close the equipment used by both Union and Confederate armies with descriptions for each provided by a Battlefield Park Ranger. The program occurs throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
