Big Demo Day

Make a splash with Appomattox River Company at this year’s Big Demo Day – a highly anticipated annual event for paddle-sports enthusiasts – on Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Wilck’s Lake in Farmville!

Founded in Farmville in 1977, Appomattox River Company is one of the largest stores of its kind in the region, well known for its giant showroom, big inventory and knowledgeable staff. The store’s annual Big Demo Day has also become very popular, attracting over a thousand attendees from across the nation each year. Big Demo Day is your chance to check out a wide selection of kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle-boards (SUPs) – and to take them out on the lake for a test-paddle! It’s one of the largest paddle-craft demos in the country. Most of the companies whose products are being featured will have pro kayak anglers, national sales managers and athletes on site to show off their latest offerings and answer your questions. You don’t have to be a paddling pro to join in the fun. In fact, if you’re a curious newcomer, it’s the perfect chance to get your feet wet. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Check out Appomattox River Company’s Blog for information about upcoming events, paddling tips, and special offers.
