Opera returns to Farmville when Longwood Chamber Singers present a concert version of Henry Purcell’s opera “Dido and Aeneas.” The opera, long thought to be the best of the early English language operas, features soloists pulled from the choir in an all-new arrangement for treble choir and chamber orchestra.
This performance is free and open to the public. Sung in English with English supertitles. Free parking is available along Race Street.
