Unsure or unable to participate in walks over uneven forested terrain but have a desire to know nature better? Come to this accessible program where we will share photos, videos, and tangible items recently collected from our park trails. The ranger will reveal life on the trails as it unfolds.

Accessibility Info: At the entrance to the park is a small ranger station where a daily parking fee is paid by those without a parking pass. A driver’s side window-height self-pay option is available when the station is not attended. The entrance road then goes directly to the beach area. From paved parking slots a concrete sidewalk up a small incline will lead to the wooden deck of the Lakeside Snack Bar. Seating at the program is at table benches and there is room for wheelchairs. Accessible restrooms are located immediately adjacent to the program area although only a portable accessible facility located at the parking lot is available for the March programs.

Please direct any questions or requests for assistance to bcguide@dcr.virginia.gov at least one week in advance of the scheduled program.
